Panta Rhei. Düsseldorf

The Panta Rhei administrative building already had an unusual design through its use of forms. In an otherwise evenly arranged environment, this flexible building in both form and content rightly wants to break out of the block structure and remain true to itself.
In order to react to its particular location in the Airport City Business Park, we placed the building on a plinth, like a work of art. It captures the lifeline of the region by taking the shape of the Rhine meandering nearby. The role and character of the large
river are interpreted through the building and are rediscovered in the name Panta Rhei. With its unusual open form it seamlessly transforms itself into the programmatic name. It is already clearly recognised as a landmark on the approach to Düsseldorf. Our design was awarded 1st place in the invitation to tender.
